Association of Former Students of Texas A & M Univ is Hiring a Business Analyst Near College Station, TX

Description

While fostering a team environment of trust, innovation, and professionalism, the Business Analyst will lead strategic and tactical efforts with all departmental users to define their specific CRM needs in order to customize the platform thus enabling our organization to maintain a high level of functionality by capitalizing on Salesforce technology.

DUTIES

Essential Functions:

  • Fosters an environment of trust, innovation, and professionalism among the Information Systems Team.
  • Assesses and provides solutions via (Salesforce) dashboards and report generation ensuring optimal performance of the Salesforce systems and products.
  • Extracts, analyzes, manipulates and captures information for departmental stakeholders to facilitate problem resolution.
  • Upgrades and configures (Salesforce) system software and products for optimized integration to determine applicability.
  • Performs database maintenance tasks, including diagnostic tests and duplicate entry cleansing.
  • Documents processes, including error reports and changes to field history tables.
  • Manages data integration between various systems and services using APIs and custom scripting.
  • Keeps up-to-date on donor database technological advances and assists in the planning and execution of software upgrades.
  • Incorporates policies and procedures based on needs of our organizations and the evolving nature of philanthropy.
  • Serves as help desk in support of donor software and provides technical guidance to ensure application success.
  • Uses judgment and discretion in the use of confidential information and the sharing of information with internal constituents.
  • Assists Director of Information Systems and related duties as required.

Participates and provides input on various Association-wide activities, which may include:

  • Actively contributing to efforts to achieve culture, engagement, and fundraising goals.
  • Providing on-site event support for Board and Leadership Council meetings.
  • Participating on internal event and task committees.
  • Participating in Association events including, but not limited to, Muster, Aggie Ring Day, Reunions, Distinguished Alumni Gala, Pass It Back Day, All-Aggie Grad Party, and All-Aggie Hullabaloo, as needed.
  • Representing The Association as needed at external events.

Serves as an ambassador for The Association by meeting Team Expectations; supporting The Association’s fundraising, engagement, branding, and communications efforts; and fostering relationships with former students, current students, parents, faculty, staff and friends of Texas A&M. 

Occasional other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION

Received: Director of Information Systems.

Given: None. 

Requirements

EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and work experience in related field.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related management field.

EXPERIENCE

Required: Salesforce Certified Administrator Certificate or ability to attain certificate within three months.

Preferred: Relational database and use of SQL programming language. Experience in web APIs (SOAP, ReST, etc.). Knowledge of donor software (e.g., Advance and Salesforce) and web application software. Understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, entry analysis, distribution, etc.).

SKILLS

Required: Proficiency in Microsoft and primary office software packages and ability to operate a keyboard.

Preferred: Communication and collaboration skills and the ability to interact effectively with people. Excellent problem-solving skills to solve business and process-related problems of the organization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Required: Ability to operate a keyboard, frequent use of a computer.

Ability to think critically and have an analytical mindset with problem-solving skills. Occasional evening and weekend work required. Occasional overnight travel required.
