Aspire Living & Learning is Hiring an Employment Specialist Near Fitchburg, MA

Are you looking for an exciting position, assisting disabled individuals find employment & accomplish their goals?!

Aspire Living & Learning is looking for a full time Employment Specialist. If you would describe yourself as a self-directed, industrious, solution focused, people person this job might be a great fit for you!

Our Employment Specialist provide small group and 1:1 support to people in community settings. They focus on skill building, increasing self-sufficiency, teaching and supporting job search, onsite training, and ongoing support in the person’s chosen career. Facilitating employment related groups and direct instruction on employment skills are components of the role. Employment Specialists are the liaison for our individuals off site jobs and are part of a team focused on increasing vocational opportunities for all individuals. 

Experience: Three or more year’s experience working in a similar capacity with adults with disabilities.

Education: B.A. or certification as an Employment Support Professional preferred.

Requirements: Strong administrative and organizational ability; Excellent interpersonal skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good computer skills; Must be willing and able to work flexible hours (which may include evenings and weekends) and have reliable transportation.

Special Requirements: Must have valid MA driver's license; acceptable driving record check, must carry/maintain 100/300,000 in liability coverage on their personal vehicle which will be used for IPPI business.
