What We Are Looking For Position Summary: The Paralegal will assist the legal team with corporate and regulatory matters, as well as other ad hoc projects. This position will partner directly with attorneys, compliance professionals and business partners, as well as external counterparties, to provide support for corporate work and transactions. This role reports to the Chief Legal Officer and is located in our Durham, NC office. What You Will Do Position Responsibilities: Provide contract support for standard corporate agreements, such as non-disclosure and vendor agreements. Provide administrative support for maintenance of corporate records, and documents and activities related to corporate actions. Assist with drafting of documents related to legal entity management and corporate transactions. Aid in preparation and dissemination of materials for board and management meetings. Support and assist with legal research, and regulatory filings and correspondence as requested. Respond to due diligence and “know your customer” requests from third parties. Collaborate with other team members to develop and enhance policies and procedures to capture workflow processes for identified responsibilities above. Maintain communication with management regarding developments within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested. Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies. Maintain complete confidentiality of company business. What We Require Position Requirements: College degree or equivalent work experience 3 years related corporate work experience Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. Independent judgment used to problem solve and resolve issues.Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment. Ability to interact with all levels of an organization and drive processes to successful conclusion. Organized Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
