** PAVING - Milling Driver/Operator (Class A CDL required)**

Louisville, KY 40245

**Purpose**

The ***Driver/Operator*** is responsible for safely driving a single axle dump truck with a trailer and moving/operating milling equipment. This position will also assist with laborer duties on job sites and requires a Class A Certified Driver's License (CDL).

**Job Responsibilities**

* Drive a single axle dump truck with a trailer.

* Operate milling machinery and other job site preparation equipment.

* May operate a variety of equipment dependent upon skill set.

* Performs a variety of tasks associated with paving operations including job site labor duties.

* Participates in cross training activities.

* Operates all equipment and tools according to safety procedures and performs all manual labor activities in a safe manner.

**Education/Experience**

* 2 years experience working on a paving crew.

* High School Diploma or GED.

* Additional education a plus.

**Skills and Specifications**

* Class A Certified Drivers License

* Thorough understanding of various aspects of the paving industry and all types of paving equipment.

* Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience working in a team environment.

* Ability to bend, crouch, and stand for long periods of time.
