Aspen Publishing is Hiring a Marketing Manager Near Burlington, MA

Aspen Publishing is seeking a Marketing Manager to be a part of a growing Marketing team. This position is based in our Burlington, MA, office with an optional hybrid office/work-from home schedule. You will work in partnership with the Head of Marketing and external creative partners to deliver on the mission of the Marketing team. We are looking for a Marketing Manager who is passionate about helping drive business results - is that you?

TITLE: Marketing Manager

REPORTS TO: Director/Head of Marketing

DEPARTMENT: Marketing

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the strategic execution of marketing campaigns to promote and sell books, study aids and learning programs for business to business and business to consumer channels. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded marketer with expertise in digital to spearhead efforts to promote a growing line of digital learning solutions that will drive results that align to the company’s product objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement tactical marketing campaigns for digital and traditional products through online and offline marketing channels as well as third party partner marketing and events.
  • Lead company efforts to drive user traffic and sales through Aspen’s Shopify site while creating and maintaining site KPI’s and marketing funnel goals.
  • Lead account-based marketing activities to boost customer retention, acquisition, and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Work closely with Aspen’s sales team to create and communicate sales strategies and support tools for digital products targeting differentiated customer segments.
  • Ensure all branding and assets are consistent across all campaigns and adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Conduct competitor research and research demand for Aspen products and services.
  • Responsible for collecting and analyzing campaign performance and results using Google Analytics and other tools.
  • Ability to adapt marketing campaigns to dynamic business priorities.
  • Attend conferences to further marketing knowledge and represent Aspen Publishing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years related experience.
  • 2 years in education publishing industry preferred.
  • A proven track record of successful marketing campaign support and tactical execution
  • Excellent with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word), Adobe Creative Suite, ZOHO CRM, and NetSuite.
  • Previous experience with Shopify Plus and Klaviyo CRM preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines. 
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan and complete work on tight deadlines and budgets.
  • B2B/B2C experience a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with professional and technical staff, outside prospects, customers, salespersons, and third-party partners.
  • Ability to analyze issues and providing solutions.
  • Act as liaison between internal and external groups.
  • Willing to travel occasionally (domestically).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English required.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in working independently and as part of a team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Normal Office Environment.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work on computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to listen and speak carefully while interacting with others.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
