Ascent Resources is seeking candidates for our Summer Engineering Intern Program. This may be a field-based position in Cambridge, OH or a corporate position in Oklahoma City. The Intern will be assigned a mentor and an engineering project. A formal presentation of the project to Ascent management is required at the end of the internship. The position requires the individual to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Assigned project may center around one of the following:
• Engineering studies
• Evaluation of the feasibility and economics of proposed projects
• Review of existing or potential production challenges
• Production monitoring and evaluation
• Workover design and execution
Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesMinimum Requirements:
• Detail orientated with a high level of accuracy
• Ability to foster high level of confidence and reliability in thought processes and results
• Professional and polished demeanor
• Ability to work directly with all levels of personnel, including field staff and top management
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Ability to complete projects against assigned deadlines
• Demonstrated maturity in handling confidential data
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions
Education Required
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering
• College level: Sophomore, Junior
