Position Overview
The Payroll Clerk will support the various tasks in the Payroll Department. This position is responsible for assisting with the duties of processing company payrolls on a regular basis. The successful candidate will emphasize a focused approach to daily task management, be highly detail oriented, and extremely accurate. This person will also be well versed with payroll compliance, taxes, and reporting. The Payroll Clerk will report to the Payroll Manager. 
Responsibilities Include:
· Audit pay card reports to ensure that accurate data is entered into HRIS 
· Run and audit various payroll reports to identify and correct discrepancies prior to payroll processing
· Assist with setting up direct deposits for new hires
· Assist with employment verifications from housing, CSE (Child Support Enforcements) and garnishments
· Issue pay cards to employees and distribute to various restaurant locations
· Assist with payroll register creation and distribution
· Interpret and process employee garnishments and assist with garnishment agency and employee inquiries
· Assist with W2 reissue statements
· Assist with issue, research, and resolution for payroll related matters
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required; college and/or certification a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with a payroll processing/HRIS system required; use of providers such as ADP a plus.
  • 1-3 years payroll experience required.
  • Restaurant and/or franchising industry experience a plus.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and data entry skills.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
