We are currently looking for an ServiceNow Developer to join our Team. This position's primary responsibility will be to support our growing ServiceNow implementation.

Responsibilities: 

• Participate in developing the application roadmap
• Complete application coding assignments that meet provided technical specifications and end-user requirements
• Participate in the design process that generates application functional and technical specifications
• Document application design specifications and implementation procedures to improve application quality and reuse of code
• Assist in the creation of unit, function, and performance test scripts to improve application quality and ensure fulfillment of requirement
• Plan and execute testing and implementation of major systems
• Assist with integrating clients and third-party software integrations
• Meet with internal/external clients to determine business, functional, and technical requirements
• Contribute to training and documentation
• Provide data, reporting, and analytics in support of business operations and metrics
• Contribute to our services knowledge base

Qualifications and Experience: 

• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM or ITBM
• Experience developing within a domain separated instance preferred
• ServiceNow certifications (Administration (CAS), Developer (CAD)) preferred
• Working knowledge of Script Includes, Business Rules, Scheduled Jobs, Workflows, Flow Designer, Update Sets, Import sets, Transform maps, Client Scripts, IU Policies, Form designing, Inbound Actions, Notifications, Reporting, Dashboards, Form designing, and Service Catalog
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with other third-party platforms, including ingesting data from those systems preferred
• JavaScript experience required
• HTML, AngularJS, jQuery, Service Portal experience a plus
• Working knowledge of API (Application Programming Interface) Management; REST, SOAP, Formats JSON, XML a plus
• General and technical documentation writing, based on audience
• Project Management, Agile Scrum Management, a plus
• Experience with software development, life cycle and implementation methodologies Experience working in an Agile environment
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and ETL tools
• Participate and provide feedback during code review
• Conducts gap analysis in conjunction with business requirements and functionality
• Actively participate and leads meetings to evaluate technical requirements and designs
• Develops written design specifications such as functional specifications, solution design and technical design documents

This is a full-time position. Ascend will consider fully remote candidates for the role.
