Description

We are seeking a team-oriented, energetic and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our health care team. The Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting providers with patient examinations and administrative duties in a focused, professional manner. They will also assist with preparing patients for procedures and may be required to administer basic medication.

Responsibilities:

• See patients via telemedicine and in-home visits (that's right, we make house calls!)
• Greet patients. Take medical histories. Interview patients and families to obtain information regarding chief complaint and reason for visit.
• Prepare medical instruments, equipment, and supplies for examination.
• Explain examination procedures to patients. Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies. Assist patients during examination.
• Stock supplies. Obtain vital signs. Collect specimens for testing.
• Record patient's medical history in the EMR.
• Explain treatment to family members of ill or injured patients.
• Provide first aid to minor injuries to patients or staff.

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant
• Current BLS Certification
• At least 2 years of experience in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
