Ascend partners with Highland Rivers Behavioral Health, Georgia’s largest Community Service Board (CSB), to staff clinical and non-clinical jobs in behavioral health. Being part of our team and working in a CSB means you’re helping individuals and families otherwise unable to access treatment from private providers to address healthcare challenges associated with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and addictive diseases. You’ll be working with purpose to make a difference in the lives of people who need you most. Each of our jobs will work within a State Community Service Board facility. 

The Engagement Specialist responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Process telephone calls and messages promptly with strict adherence to confidentiality, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor caseloads for accuracy, and attempt to contact individuals to ensure they are engaging in recommended services with the appropriately credentialed provider.
• Schedule appointments with strict adherence to current processes in an effort to best serve our individuals, with reimbursement for service provided being a priority.
• Document and/or scan written and verbal communication, outreach attempts, and relevant interactions with individuals accurately and thoroughly in the individual’s Electronic Medical Record.
• Complete and submit reports for designated site(s) accurately and in a timely manner.
• Administratively discharge the electronic medical record of individuals who have not engaged in services in designated amount of time, or who are out of compliance with agency policies

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Two (2) years experience in Behavioral Health

Must be able to pass an intensive criminal background investigation

Pre-Employment and random drug screening

Acceptable motor vehicle report

Preferred - Computer skills sufficient to learn and utilize the electronic medical records.
