Ascend Community Staffing Partners LLC is Hiring a Behavioral Health Therapist Near Smyrna, GA

Description

Ascend partners with Highland Rivers Behavioral Health, Georgia’s largest Community Service Board (CSB), to staff clinical and non-clinical jobs in behavioral health. Being part of our team and working in a CSB means you’re helping individuals and families otherwise unable to access treatment from private providers to address healthcare challenges associated with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and addictive diseases. You’ll be working with purpose to make a difference in the lives of people who need you most. Each of our jobs will work within a State Community Service Board facility

The Behavioral Health Therapist in the outpatient setting would be responsible for completion of Behavioral Health Assessments for both mental health and substance use, Treatment Plans, and provision of Individual, Group and/or Family Therapy based on clinician training and agency needs. The Behavioral Health Therapist would also be responsible for agency or outside program referrals according to assessment findings and specific individual needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 *Timely, compliant clinical documentation and billing practices following all HRH policies and standards set forth by HRH policy, including but not limited collaborative documentation, documentation signed with 24 hours, ensuring discharges are completed. 

*This position is a Pay for Performance position, which requires that staff who work 40 hours per week complete 50 hours of billable services per pay period. (Pro-rated for those who work less than 40 hrs per week)

*Case management and clinical responsibilities including: accepting appropriate referrals; providing assessments, individual counseling, family counseling, group counseling, and crisis intervention according to the treatment plan; maintains a caseload. 

*Takes ownership for individual and referral source satisfaction by returning phone calls in a timely manner, communicating with referral sources with appropriate authorization, link and/or serve as advocate for individuals as needed. 

*Encourages individual responsibility and recovery by utilizing evidenced-based interventions, providing comprehensive and ongoing assessment, referring individuals to appropriate internal and external services, involving and educating family, seeking and utilizing supervision, developing individualized and comprehensive plan of care based on the individual’s strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences. 

*Completes appropriate additional tasks as assigned and appropriate for position.

Requirements

Education - Master's Degree in behavioral healthcare field.

Licensure/Certification - Must hold a Ga. Professional License ( LAPC, LAMFT, LMSW, LPC, LCSW, LMFT)

Experience – Two or more years experience in a behavioral health setting preferred

Skilled in working independently and implementing time management strategies, ability to demonstrate positive team interactions with other clinical staff. Computer skills sufficient to learn and utilize the electronic medical records.

Must be able to pass an intensive criminal background check, provide official academic transcripts, possess a valid driver’s license/ID, and have an acceptable motor vehicle report. Must pass pre-employment and random drug screening
