Los Angeles Angels Camps in Orange County and Riverside County is looking to hire a seasonal Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic in Orange County and Riverside County to make a ten week commitment to make a positive difference in the lives of our youth while developing in them a love for the game and the Los Angeles Angels. This seasonal summer camp Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) position earns a competitive wage of $880 per week. Work Schedule for a Summer Camp EMT:

This seasonal and temporary EMT position is approximately eight hours per day. The weekly schedule is 7:15 AM - 3:30 PM on Monday - Friday. 

Core Responsibilities as a Summer Camp EMT:

• Ensure a safe camp environment for all staff, campers, and parents
• Administer first-aid properly as needed to campers and staff
• Manage medications for campers with life-threatening allergies and other medical needs (ex. EpiPens) and ensure that each camp coach is aware of their campers who require extra attention
• Communicate to parents and headquarters regarding injuries, illnesses, and incidents that occur at camp
• Maintain detailed health records of campers
• Work proactively with all camp staff to ensure that a preemptive approach is taken, in order to minimize injury and risk
• Work with coaches and other staff members to help resolve camper conflicts and to create a positive and friendly environment for everyone involved with the camp
• Assist with the production and organization of essential camp reports including attendance, employee timekeeping, and customer service-related records
• Serve as the primary medical professional

We are looking for an EMT who:

• Is prepared to make a ten week commitment Monday-Friday for approximately eight hours per day
  • Our Summer Camps run from June 10, 2024 to August 16, 2024
• Is interested in gaining unique experience in the healthcare field
• Is able to pass a comprehensive background screening
• Is prepared to travel to each site with reliable transportation of your own

Qualifications for a Summer Camp Emergency Medical Technician (EMT):

• Certification as an EMT
• BLS/CPR Certification
• Must have at least 3 months experience in the last 12 months
