Job Responsibilities
• Act as an unwavering advocate of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodology; through cultural change, to embrace an environment of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
• Help drive the annual development of the company's objectives and the execution of the corresponding improvement plans throughout the year.
• You will train, advise and provide general support / leadership to the organization in the use of Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement tools.
• Develop and implement a continuous improvement roadmap of operations / businesses that includes a methodology / project selection list and, work with the management team to implement the plan.
• Maintain and promote the project selection process for the business and prioritize to obtain the maximum benefit.
• Perform capacity planning, as required.
• Lead referral opportunities for operational excellence. Identify opportunities for improvement, develop a project plan to implement improvements, and monitor the new process to ensure it works as intended.
• Create communication mechanisms to manage and track progress against objectives (metrics / objectives).
• Develop and improve manufacturing and administration processes through the use of lean tools.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and establish priorities to meet planned deadlines and within planned budget.
• Drive cost saving efforts through cycle time decreases, transactional opportunities, configuration reduction, and more.
• Advise managers and executives on gaps and opportunities for business system integration and process improvements, within and between work groups.
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor of Engineering (industrial or manufacturing engineering preferred), similar technical degree and / or business degree with experience through experience.
• 3 years of operations / manufacturing experience of manufacturing related work experience, preferably in high volume production.
• Fluent bilingual in Spanish / English.
• Strong math, analytical, problem solving, and project management skills.
• Experience in developing processes, writing procedures and hourly training and exempting employees.
• Excellent written and verbal skills, good interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, negotiation skills, and time management.
• Strong skills in data collection, organization and analysis tools.
• Experience with MRP systems and preferred business financial measures.
