Arlington Theatre is Hiring a Bartender Near Santa Barbara, CA
The Arlington Theater Santa Barbara is looking for 5-10 Bartenders to join our team! We host 75-150 events per year from live concerts to comedy shows and weddings. It’s a fun and entertaining work environment focused on providing the best experience to our guests. We would like to add some talented, friendly and quick Bartenders to join the team, on live events when we have sold out shows of 2000 guests tip profits can range from $150-800 per night. Reports to: General Manager
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of bartending or bar-backing experience.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations:
- Stocks bar and completes other pre-opening requirements.
- Prepares and serves alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
- Skilled at slowing and refusing alcoholic beverage service when necessary.
- Complies with safety and sanitation requirements.
- Good organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of working a POS system preferred.
- Knowledgeable of all aspects of department and daily theater operations, including events and operating hours.
- Ability to read and understand Event Orders
- Ability to work large or small events with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
- Cleans bar and completes opening & closing checklists properly and thoroughly.
- Assures that all state and local laws and theater policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
- We can provide training and we provide ABC, RBS & Food Safe certifications required by law to serve alcohol.
Bartending Job Summary
(Essential Functions)
Prepare, pour and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Requires knowledge of all aspects of mixology including food/wine pairings and wine presentation and service. Great customer service is a must!
Licenses and Special Requirements
- Alcohol beverage certification & RBS certification.
- Food safety certification.
- Of legal age to prepare and serve alcoholic beverages.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
- Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Continuous repetitive motions.
- Work in hot, humid and noisy environment.
