About the Role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Livesite/Incident Management team. The Livesite team lives the Livesite First culture. NOC Engineer at Arkose Labs are hybrid software/systems engineers/incident managers who partner with SRE and other teams to ensure that Production Services are always up and running reliably. We are the steady hands when incidents are active, creating the space for all of Engineering to restore service while making sure key stakeholders have timely and relevant status updates. We look for process improvement and automation opportunities to reduce manual processes used during an Incident. As part of this team your role will primarily involve managing incidents and improving Livesite management processes and automation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership and accountability for the rapid identification and recovery from service impacting outages and incidents. 
• Ensure documentation of an incident shows exceptional quality by being accurate, complete, timely, and contains actionable insights to prevent future incidents. 
• Ensures communications are timely, clear, concise, and accurate. 
• Drive the Livesite First culture across Arkose Labs by standardizing various processes involving analyzing signals, driving RCA’s and Service improvements. 
• Drive Weekly Incident Reviews and follow-up on Action Items.
• Participate in on-call coverage rotation. 
• Passion for data and enabling data driven decisions. 
• Identify and drive automation/improvement opportunities. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
• Drive transformation and constantly raise the bar for the team and the organization. 

Qualifications

Must Haves

• This role will be supporting the European Time Zone, therefore must be available during GMT time
• 2 years experience working on high performing services
• BA or BS in Computer Science or related experience
• Passion for working with incident response processes and tooling
• Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities 
• Ability to partner with Engineering and Business partners to understand business requirements and translate them into designs while driving innovation 
• Ability to work in a culture of continuous improvement, adaptation, reflection, and growth 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Some experience with Cloud Platforms or other infrastructure services.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Automation and Scripting experience 
• Experience with OOP, Querying Languages, and SaaS is preferred
