Job Requirements
The Program Manager must demonstrate aptitude for planning, coordinating, and directing teams to cost, schedule, and performance objectives. The position requires capability of providing direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures which includes close coordination with Quality Assurance and Configuration Management.
Selected candidate must have the ability to develop project schedules, cost accounting plans, and other technical documentation for hardware and software projects, such as requirement specifications, Concept of Operations and Basis of Estimate documentation for proposals.
This position is also responsible for Project Management tasks to include coordination of detailed project plans across multiple groups, development of comprehensive program plans, and technical coordination across hardware and software groups and ensures all contract deliverables meet the contract specifications. This manager coordinates and facilitates project team meetings, interacts with customers, attends technical interchange meetings, coordinates and facilitates design review presentations, collects and coordinates status data for inclusion in Program Management Reviews.
The Program Manager must at all times be a role model to subordinate employees, be a workforce motivator, be a provider of constructive criticism and communicates goals, objectives, and policies of the organization to the employee. The Program Manager must have a positive customer service orientation with an ability to develop and maintain relationships with site support personnel in addition to demonstrating strong interpersonal skills working with senior program customers as well as military customers. Must have excellent decision-making capability, people management skills, and be capable of interfacing with all levels of functional and program management.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned commensurate with performance or due to business needs.
