Business Analyst, (ERP Project)

Responsible for ensuring data integrity, protecting sensitive information through advanced analysis/research, recommending solutions, policies and procedures; evaluating system functionality; design, testing, and documenting the district’s ERP System.
Job Summary:
This includes defining requirements, writing user stories, prioritizing initiatives, and driving scalability and other investments for the product. An understanding of user centered design, empathy for end users of the product and the ability to effectively gather customer operational difficulties and identify solutions is critical. Deep product knowledge must be developed in order to serve as the product expert for all stakeholders.
The ERP Business Analyst will examine existing and new systems for improvement, report common issues, evaluate company performance, and recommend new system procedures. This position requires experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of business processes and business system analysis techniques. The ideal candidate will also be dedicated and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Examine current and new business procedures and identify effective solutions for business software system issues
•Collaborate with district leadership and key staff to translate business requirements into user stories for the development teams to implement.
•Transform business requirements into a straightforward and technical model, and match processes to application requirements.
•Assess company performance, information, and plans by conducting regular tests and analysis; Monitor company systems status and report any progress or changes.
•Serve as a liaison between development teams and vendors to ensure that they understand the vision for the product and designing and leveraging effective and useful features for users.
•Bridge the gap between technical needs and the requirements of users including providing detailed product requirements for implementation of changes to our systems.
•Document settings and prepare users to use the system, including training and documentation support and partnership with trainers.
•Establish specifications for new projects by developing project goals, phases, and budgets.
Education and/or Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or relevant field
•A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a business analyst supporting ERP systems (Munis by Tyler Technologies is used by the school district. Experience with Munis is not required but preferred).
