Arizona Eye Consultants is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near Tucson, AZ

Arizona Eye Consultants is a growing and established practiced located respectively on the NW, East, and West parts of Tucson, AZ, and is looking fordependable, reliable, & hard-workingindividuals to join our team! We currently have five locations and this position does require travel between offices throughout the week. 

Qualifications:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Completing patient workups prior to their visit with the doctor, which includes:
    • Checking pupils, motility, and confrontational fields
    • Checking VA (Visual Acuity) 
    • Checking the patient's Intraocular Pressure (IOP)
    • Instilling eye drops as needed
    • Reading the patient's glasses prescription using an auto lensometer
    • Performing manifest refractions on patients as needed
  • Administering patient tests such as:
    • Visual Field Test
    • Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
    • Fundus Photos
    • Auto Refraction
    • Potential Acuity Meter (PAM)
  • Helping to direct and instruct patients during Contact Lens Class appointments 
  • Assisting physician(s) with in-office procedures
  • Completing side duties in a timely manner
    • Prescription Refills
    • Prior Authorizations
    • Answering phones and returning voicemails
    • Stocking & Cleaning exam rooms/instruments

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience: No prior experience is necessary
