Job Title: Systems Administrator

Job Summary
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for providing operational and technical support with a focus on datacenter operations and resolution of first and second level technical issues.
This position will be the subject matter expert (SME) and primary point of contact for datacenter, server, network administration and network security. This role with assist the VP, Information Technology with capacity planning of servers, network systems, and cybersecurity across the organization. The position will assist with end user support requests in our corporate and hockey/arena operations including the installation and configuration of local workstations, printers, and peripheral equipment.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Datacenter, server, network administration
Provide first and second level technical support to end users
Ensure IT support issues are handled in a timely manner
User administration including new user setup and access rights management
Imaging and deployment of PC’s
Follow all operational policies and procedures including change control policies
Provide detailed documentation of systems and software including knowledgebase
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees and vendors
Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays
Virtualization technologies: VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V
Data storage and backup knowledge and technologies
Windows Servers (2010, 2016, 2019)
Windows/MAC Operating Systems
Smartphones (iOS, Android)
VoIP Telephone Systems
Education and Formal Training:
BA or BS in CS, MIS, similar field of study or equivalent experience required
MCSE, VMware, Cisco, A , Network certifications a plus
Other industry standard certifications welcome
Experience:
3-5 years of information technology roles/experience
1-3 years writing technical documentation
Material and Equipment Used:
Experience required in the following technologies: DNS, DHCP, Virtual Servers, TCP/IP, VLAN, Microsoft CRM, Microsoft SQL, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SAN, NAS
Microsoft Office 365 experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of MS Office tools: Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint
Physically able to perform duties, including but not limited to, lifting up to 50lbs, bending, reaching above shoulder level, climbing stairs, pulling, typing, prolonged standing or sitting
