The Arizona Country Club of Phoenix, AZ is looking to hire a full-time Banquet Cook to help our kitchen staff prepare delicious food for our loyal members. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A BANQUET COOK

As a Banquet Cook in the kitchens of the Arizona Country Club, you are part of a culinary staff with exacting standards. You are passionate about five-star hospitality, good food, and exceeding our members' expectations. You prepare, season, and cook soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items under the direction of the Executive and Banquet Chef.

You carefully follow recipes and regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters in your preparation of food items. You work hard to ensure the quality and consistency of the food and that it is ready in a timely manner. When the food is ready, you portion, arrange, and garnish with consideration to proper serving sizes and presentation. Your attention to detail and commitment to hospitality ensures that our members and their guests enjoy a quality culinary experience which adds value to their membership and keeps them coming back for more.

In addition to the proper preparation of food, you ensure its proper storage and handling. You inspect food preparation and serving areas regularly to ensure safe, sanitary food-handling practices. You also get to assist with other kitchen tasks as needed such as ordering supplies, planning menus, and helping to price the menu. You love the camaraderie that comes with working as part of a cohesive culinary team in a tightly-run kitchen. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you are never bored and time goes by quickly. QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Arizona food handlers card
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience

Do you like to cook? Are you comfortable in the kitchen and interested in the culinary arts? Do you work well as part of a team? Do you have excellent customer service skills and a love for hospitality? Do you have good communication skills and the ability to memorize information easily? Can you read and follow directions well? Are you able to work independently and make sound judgment calls when appropriate? Are you flexible? Are you dependable? Are you quick on your feet and able to work in a fast-paced environment? Can you present a professional and well-kept appearance? If so, then you might just be perfect for this Cook position!

WORK SCHEDULE

This Banquet Cook position may work both AM shifts and PM shifts depending events. There will also be opportunities to assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods. The nature of our industry requires working holidays and weekends.
