Role: 

All ACCU employees are expected to assist the Credit Union in meeting strategic objectives and participate in the growth and success of the organization. The role of the Talent Acquisition Specialist is to connect with a diverse pool of job seekers, attract candidates who align with our company culture, and promote the company as an employer of choice in the community. Position offers a range of varied responsibilities in the recruitment and human resources areas, and opportunity for individual growth.

Recruitment

  • Dedicated to creating an outstanding onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Tracking of all open positions and filled jobs.
  • Post jobs internally and externally, as approved by management. Ensure all job postings are accurate, captivating, and reach and attract a diverse pool of candidates throughout Arizona.
  • Act as the face of the credit union with external candidates, promote the company core values and employment benefits in order to attract candidates aligned with our culture.
  • Coordinate with leaders on hiring processes and practices, and regularly communicate pipeline status to HR and hiring managers.
  • Coordinate internal interviews with HR and hiring managers.
  • Assist with candidate screening and scheduling external interviews.
  • Process all pre-employment screenings including; applicant reference check, verification of employment, criminal background checks, applicant testing, etc.
  • Prepares contingent and final job offers, and coordinates pre-employment drug testing.
  • Coordinates start dates and training schedule for new hires.
  • Conducts new hire orientation, to include; collection of new employee data and informing new employees of credit union policies and guidelines.
  • Provides various monthly and/or quarterly staffing reports to management.
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, and applicable laws to remain compliant with state and federal employment laws and regulations.

Human Resources Support

  • Assist in facilitating the optimal use of technology, steering us toward a paperless environment in HR, specifically in the areas of recruitment and onboarding.
  • Continually evaluate current processes and recommend efficiencies and process improvements.
  • Process and track various invoices for the department.
  • Serve as TRP Coordinator for the Maricopa County Trip Reduction Program.
  • Various administrative duties such as: ordering nameplates, shirts, department supplies, parking cards, etc.
  • Assist with new hire benefit presentations.
  • Coordinate various HR and Training projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience: Three years of talent acquisition experience.

Education: A high school diploma.

Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills required.

Other skills: Position requires the highest level of confidentiality and the ability to instill trust and confidence. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office tools, and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be detail oriented and able to use independent judgment in order to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload. Self-motivation is key to success in this position.
