Arizona Biltmore, Waldorf Astoria Resort is Hiring an Overnight Cook I Near Phoenix, AZ

Description

The historic Arizona Biltmore is looking for anOvernight Cook I to join the In-Room Dining Culinary Team! 

Located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix since 1929, this gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $100 million renovation. This iconic hotel has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space, and 8 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 pools, 2 bars, a gelato shop/café, and in-room dining).

  • Classification: Part-Time
  • Shift: Overnights - must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Work experience in a hotel, restaurant, or resort setting (Preferred)
  • Ability to obtain Food Handler's Certification at time of employment
  • Graduate of a Culinary or Apprenticeship program (Preferred)

What will I be doing?As a Cook 1, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times.
  • Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
  • Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products.
  • Stock and maintain designated food station(s).
  • Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen.
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations.
  • Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed.
