Special Education Teacher - Central Phoenix and Peoria Campuses
Hiring for 23/24 school year! Under the supervision and direction of the Campus Director, the Certified Teacher will effectively manage the learning environment by preparing lesson plans, instructing students, evaluating and monitoring students’ performance and advancing student achievement. The Certified Teacher should have experience differentiating instruction for a variety of learners and will work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction in accordance with students’ IEP goals. The Certified teacher will also ensure the classroom follows the AZACS structured teaching model. Teachers in this role should demonstrate a commitment to professional development through didactic workshops and classroom coaching.
Candidates with teaching experience are preferred with a willingness to be trained and coached in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies. The Certified Teacher will work hand-in-hand with a SPED Program Manager and an ABA Manager to implement a best-practice educational model to achieve optimal results for students on the autism spectrum and students with other related disorders. If certified in special education, the Certified Teacher will maintain a special education caseload between 25 and 30 students.

Work is routinely performed in an indoor and outdoor classroom setting.
