The Business Development Specialist will work closely with the Head of Advisory Distribution on strategy, analytics, and other special projects for sales strategy and delivery.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist Head of Advisory Distribution to implement and maintain an effective business development plan for Advisory Distribution and its expansion.
  • Work closely with the Head of Advisory Distribution to study the current Advisory Business in some of the following scopes:
    • Trends in the business
    • Competitive positioning
    • Sales territory sizing and management
    • Compensation model changes and their impact
  • Help evaluate team activities and activities of competitors to identify gaps, threats, and opportunities.
  • Run reports, builds graphics and scorecards as needed.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

What You Have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial intermediary relationships and platforms and their products: desired
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel prowess: required
    • Experience using and writing macros, Vlookups, pivot tables, VBA, etc
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook: required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills: required
  • Ability to collaborate with a team and execute responsibilities independently: required
  • Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy and timely follow-through: required
  • Natural interest in sales and the financial markets: desired
  • Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Access, Tableau, and/or Power-BI: a plus.
  • Aptitude for synthesizing large data sets into salient explanations: desired
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience in the investment management or financial services industry: preferred.
