Primary Job Responsibilities

• Provide office support services (prepare FedEx’s, filing, scanning, shredding, etc.)
• Process daily incoming checks from mailroom
  • Log each check received into Master Log
  • Sort checks by bank account and type/system
    • Identify and deposit premium checks on the date received
    • Identify and deposit claims checks and all other checks on date received or pending instruction, within 24 hours
    • Follow up on pending checks daily until resolved
  • Prepare checks for deposit
  • Scan checks to deposit into bank
  • Communicate status of outstanding checks to supervisor daily
  • Route checks and supporting documentation as needed to brokers, vendor, or original sender
• Communication and correspondence with Argo Co-Workers, Vendors, and Agents/Brokers associated with check deposit accounts to resolve unidentified checks
• Maintaining process and procedure documentation for all assigned primary job responsibilities
• Provide training to backup support as needed
• Collection of outstanding Accounts Receivable balances
• Continuous follow-up with Underwriting & Claims personnel for timely resolution for billing discrepancies
• Performs various weekly and month-end reconciliations
• Complete management reports as needed
• Assists with special projects and other office support duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to access San Antonio office or assigned office location on daily basis to ensure continuity of critical functions, including, but not limited to check processing
• Must be detail-oriented and able to quickly evaluate accuracy of information
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage, prioritize, and effectively meet deadlines while working on multiple assignments simultaneously
• Discreetly manage sensitive and confidential information
• High level of flexibility in fast paced environment
• Proficient PC skills developed through extensive use of Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
• Self-starter and highly motivated individual who demonstrates ability to exercise sound judgment
• Polished and professional demeanor, as well as outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work extended hours on an as-needed basis for project or business requirements
