The talent acquisition specialist is responsible for collaborating with the HR Director to meet the staffing needs of the agency and forecast future hiring needs. The selected candidate will attract talent using various sources, such as social media networks and employee referral programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Implement overall recruiting strategy
- Community outreach through job fairs and networking opportunities
- Prepare recruiting materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards and social media recruitment sites
- Screen active and passive candidates and conduct interviews, using various tools to assess candidate skills and aptitude
Highly qualified applicants will have an associate degree in human resources or business administration with relevant work experience; an equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered. Your ability to develop collaborative relationships will help you stand out, and you will love to work independently as much as part of a team dedicated to supporting our employees. Preferred qualifications include:
- experience in talent acquisition, on-boarding, and retention processes
- understanding of the recruitment lifecycle
- at least one year of experience in recruiting and/or human resources
- experience with an Applicant Tracking System and/or other human resource information systems
- proficiency in Microsoft Office/Office 365
- excellent communication skills
- tact and confidentiality
- working knowledge of federal/state employment law and HR best practices
