ResponsibilitiesThe Laboratory Manager is accountable for overseeing the management of the laboratory, assuring accurate and timely test analysis, maintaining and properly utilizing all resources, establishing and implementing sectional goals and policies, promoting competency of staff and students through education, and ensuring appropriate and timely orientation for new employees. Applies knowledge and skills, professionally in daily performance of management activities. Assists in the design, measurement, monitoring and implementation of programs to improve patient care within the medical center as measured by improved clinical outcome, improved efficiency of resource use and improved patient and physician satisfaction.
This Laboratory Manager is responsible for working directly with their supervisor in planning, directing, and managing aspects of laboratory services and laboratory outreach departments in accordance with the hospital, Ardent Health Services, regulatory agencies. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to; business development of the outreach laboratory function including product definition, product development, pricing, profitability, revenue growth, client and employee satisfaction.
