POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to oversee the daily operations in the tile showroom to ensure the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction. They are responsible for the design and visual merchandising of the showroom to reflect the brand, hiring and training of showroom staff, as well as maintaining the sample department. This candidate will provide support to the showroom staff while ensuring a positive customer experience, coordination with marketing to ensure we have samples (forthcoming), sharing and training staff on product knowledge, coordination of meeting across departments to ensure collaboration, overseeing the overall appearance of the showroom to ensure cleanliness and providing welcoming and professional environment.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage showroom personnel through clear direction, support, and coaching.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to customers and clients.
  • Provide ongoing training to showroom staff and sample department.
  • Communicate up to date information on new products and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with designers and builders.
  • Attend and participate in off-site trade organization meetings (NKBA, NWSID, etc.).
  • Address and resolve any customer issues related to products or service.
  • Create an appealing showroom presentation that showcases stones and materials.
  • Oversee scheduling of client installations, remodels, and renovations.
  • Ensure that the showroom is clean, organized, and safe.
  • Manage sample inventory for all products and ensure that products are labeled properly.
  • Provide support and resources to outside sales representatives.
  • Design, merchandise, and manage logistics for booth at trade shows.
  • Plan and host showroom events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Space planning and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of the tile and stone industry.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree preferred but not required.
  • Showroom management experience in related field (architectural, design or construction)

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to push/pull/lift to 20 lbs.
