What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a seasoned VP of Operations with a minimum of 18 years of relative experience in managing business functions end to end and a strong educational background. The ideal candidate would have familiarity with working on SaaS, energy or utilities domain with an extensive knowledge of the business. 

They would also ensure the ongoing delivery of excellent client service across all segments, taking overall responsibility for the operational efficiency of the business and ensuring the relevant regulatory standards are met.

Additionally, you would be responsible for the development and implementation of operations strategy for the Chennai center and also work along with the US team in implementing company wide strategy by managing the direction of multiple functions/verticals/BUs, it’s significant scope, ambiguity and risk

What you’ll do:

  • The role holder is the second-highest ranking executive being part of the business strategy and is accountable / responsible for the overall revenue and cost; leading the supervision of the business functions service delivery.
  • Setting and constant scale up of service delivery standards for the company. Work with directors and middle management leaderships on policies, processes, training, and quality of output of goods and services and ensure to reflect these standards.
  • Focus on data related to productivity, revenue generation, efficiency and make performance assessments to be compared with the past and future planned in accordance with the necessary staff planning and deployment.
  • Requires and guides top management in all organization wide interventions. Reviews pioneering concepts and principles building next level products, keeping in mind the optimization of cost to serve and may also be responsible for introducing new business models and territorial expansion.
  • Will be responsible for identifying and implementing strategies to streamline and de-risk the business. 

Strategic/Operational:

  • Operations Management and Operational Effectiveness.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Oversee metrics in order to meet strategic objectives and monitor and evaluate performance of the team in line with the Service Level Agreements.
  • Continuously review and establish a robust performance measurement structure.
  • Capacity Planning.
  • Contribute to the development of the short and long-term center strategy in conjunction with overseas counterparts.

Finance:

  • Responsible for assisting management in understanding costs, revenues and other statistical data with a view to make informed decisions.
  • Work on overall planning and budgeting for the year, monitoring cash flow and suggesting cost reduction initiatives.

People Management :

  • Lead the Chennai center and responsible for the overall direction and performance of the teams.
  • Manage the career growth and development of the Leadership team by driving focus on Arcadia’s leadership principles and core values.
  • Play a critical role in building management depth by providing guidance and mentorship to all levels of leadership within the organization, as well as serving as an outstanding role model.
  • Responsible for creating a positive learning culture through training; rewarding and disciplining employees; resolving conflicts; staffing; and development of employees with high quality and productivity of the center.
  • Build a high performance and customer centric culture.

Nice-to-haves:

  • MBA from a premier institute with more than 18 years experience, with at least 5 of these in Operations Management spearheading a center.
  • Experienced leader with proven ability in managing medium to large teams.
  • Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management, implementing best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Has outsized impact as a leader of a rapidly growing or complex area of the business.
