Aptive is seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a potential contract supporting the National Science Foundation (NSF) for the Networking and Information Technology Research and Development (NITRD) Program. The Network Engineer will be experienced and highly qualified with the ability to evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, troubleshoot, and/or monitor a complex range of computer network components and systems. In addition, the Network Engineer is expected to demonstrate the ability to develop and execute contingency plans for network software and hardware failures including isolated and major outages, work with users to evaluate and define hardware and software needs, provide senior level guidance to users in all local area network administration processes, provide software and hardware familiarization overview with users as well as help desk support, and manage third-party maintenance and support contracts for network software and hardware equipment, manage and maintain (create/delete) user accounts. The Network Engineer is responsible for providing support for MAX.gov to the interagency enterprise. Finally, the Network Engineer's responsibilities include the need to implement and manage network policies, procedures, and standards.
