Applied Research Associates, Inc is Hiring a Program Analyst - Nuclear Weapons Security and Exercise Programs Near Falls Church, VA

The Analytical Solutions Division (ASD) of Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc., has an exciting opportunity for a Program Analyst - Nuclear Weapons Security and Exercise Programs working onsite at a location in the Arlington or Falls Church, VA. The potential candidate will provide subject matter expertise for nuclear security and exercise programs for the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear Matters. This requires someone who has a strong and substantial background and proven history in supporting senior-level DoD officials and advising on strategy, policy, implementation, and execution of U.S. Government-level programs in a cross-functional, Interagency setting.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing methodologies for and participating in the development of threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments for the Nuclear Enterprise
  • Develop and update DoD nuclear security publications
  • Provide operational exercise support, including participating in designing, monitoring, and supporting execution and analyzing the results of these exercises
  • Attend and record minutes for scheduled meetings
  • Process documents, data, and reports as needed to support client requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7 years of related (technical environment) experience is required
  • Expertise in DoD roles and missions, and organizational structure
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage and prioritize numerous assignments
  • Excellent research skills
  • Applicant must hold an active Top-Secret security clearance and be eligible to access SCI
  • Applicant must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Eight or more years of related (technical environment) experience
  • A Master’s degree with 6 or more years’ experience is a suitable substitute
