The Platform Architecture cloud team develops advanced modern cloud services. These services include networking, storage and compute for the cloud customers. A Platform Architecture cloud team member is responsible for architecting and implementing the various cloud services. Some of the services are pure distributed systems and some are more “low” level dealing with various hardware resources (storage, network etc.). The individual needs to be adept in software development and system architecture. Knowledge in networking, storage, virtualization and security are not mandatory but can help in shortening the learning curve.
