The Financial Analyst (Commissions) position will support Appian’s financial administration of its sales incentive compensation plans. The main responsibilities include: partnering with the Sr. Manager of FP&A to maintain the sales comp plan and calculating monthly commissions in accordance with the plan. Other tasks include: interfacing with the Corporate Accounting team to assist with recording sales commission expenses into financial statements and testing the plan provisions configured in our software tool, Xactly, to ensure system configuration is complete and accurate.
To be successful in this role, you need:
Advanced Excel knowledge, including: looking up functions, pivot tables, ability to read and build complex formulas by combining multiple functions
A collaborative and partner led approach to work with various teams within the Finance department and cross functionally with other areas of the business
Competency and experience working with numbers, percentages, and formulas
Knowledge of Salesforce, Anaplan, Xactly Incent or other Sales Compensation applications

Basic Qualifications:
B.S. in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Finance
5 years of experience in each of the following categories: Finance, Microsoft Excel & Commissions
