Appalachian Regional Healthcare, Inc. is Hiring an Assistant Administrator I Near South Williamson, KY

Overview

The Assistant Administrator is responsible for assisting the Administrator in the management and evaluation of assigned functions of hospital operations.

Responsibilities

Serves as the acting chief administrative officer of the hospital in the absence of the Administrator.

Develops, implements, interprets and maintains work standards and procedures that are in compliance with hospital policies, governmental regulations and various regulatory agency requirements.

Prepares monthly operational statements for special hospital projects.

Represents the hospital at local, regional or statewide meetings as requested by the Administrator.

Serves as Chairman of the Department Head Meetings in the

Administrator's absence.

Develops and evaluates assigned programs (with the aid of consultants, planning agencies, and technical advisors as needed).

Assists in and/or prepares budgets, cost studies, and other reports relevant to specific areas of responsibility.

May administer the hospital personnel function in the absence of a Personnel Manager.

Assists in the orientation of students, residents and staff personnel.

May assist with and organizes all hospital safety and risk management activities as assigned by the Administrator.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in health care or business administration with two years experience in hospital administration,

Must have good communication skills.
