These services include evidence-based practices, school-based and outpatient therapy, psychiatric evaluations and treatment, Community Support and substance abuse services to name a few. Location: Charlotte, NC The position entails assisting with medical procedures-(which include phlebotomy, intramuscular injections of medications, urine and laboratory drug testing); assisting in medical office visits, taking vital signs, coordinating prescription refills and prior authorizations required for refills; assisting in telepsychiatry appointments; and filling in for office administrative staff when needed. The position also involves managing sample medication supplies and assisting medical staff with other clinical and administrative needs that may arise as part of routine medical office practice. We are seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to provide the following services:
Perform administrative and office-support activities for multiple staff members
Maintain up-to-date Medical Administration Records (MAR) for all injectable medications administered
Take inventory and stock medical supplies
Track all Clozapine patients and ensure that regular laboratory screening is conducted, providers are notified about lab results, laboratory findings are faxed to the pharmacy, and refills are coordinated to avoid lapse in treatment.
Help coordinate telepsychiatry appointments as needed at each clinic location
Maintain an inventory of medication samples
Assist the staff in patient education
Ensure that medications for agency are disposed of properly
Request medical records from previous facilities for clients
Perform Phlebotomy and specimen processing Perform CLIA-Waived testing Assist providers with prescription refills as needed Travel to other sites as needed
