Apollo Retail is Hiring an Assembly Technician Near Wichita, KS

Go store to store and work independently to keep the furniture display area looking “showroom ready” at a big box office supply company!

This is a Part Time opportunity that can lead to additional assembly work. Hours may vary based on market needs (metro areas may garner more hours). Our technicians primarily work weekdays between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM.

Important Information

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain the furniture department at different retail locations
  • Perform in-store tasks including but not limited to: light dusting and vacuuming, making minor repairs to display items, complete special projects as assigned, and inventory
  • Follow the appropriate protocols to ensure the safety of all display items in the department
  • Complete an in-depth report on the store kiosk at the conclusion of each service call
  • Position merchandise and create a customer-ready furniture department
  • Utilize the plan-o-gram to ensure the furniture is organized correctly and identify any missing items
  • Build and develop the trust and confidence of the store manager through knowledge of Apollo policies and procedures
  • Complete furniture assemblies after the service visit as needed
  • Participate in projects in other retailers as requested by manager

Requirements:

  • Must have own reliable transportation to travel 30 to 60 miles to multiple store locations each day (depending on market location)
  • Must have a basic tool set 
  • Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and Apollo management team (good communication = more shifts)
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and lift 50 lbs throughout the day
  • Must work hours between 8 AM and 5 PM Monday – Friday (encouraged to accept weekends and evenings as needed)
  • Ability to read diagrams or instructions, process instructions, and use hand tools and power tools
  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Incentive-based pay for all assemblies (unlimited earning potential)
  • Project hourly pay based on assignment 
  • Flexible shift hours
  • Paid training (to be scheduled, you must have the required tools)
  • Paid mileage, travel pay, and hotel accommodations with per diem for travelers when applicable
  • Assignments can range from 0-40 hours per week based on volume, how far you are willing to travel, and willingness to accept various other projects offered
  • Paid weekly
  • W2 Employment

Pays:

  • $16 to $18 per hour
