POSITION: Technical Account Sales Rep - Industrial

REPORTS TO: Distribution Manager

LOCATION: Fresno, CA

SALARY: $69,000.00 to $95,000.00/annually, DOE

JOB SUMMARY:

Under minimal supervision, is responsible for prospect calling, providing technical knowledge and support for PLC, HMI, Variable Frequency Drives (AFD), Servos, Wireless, and other industrial products. Responsible for working with Outside account sales rep and designated territory to generate and develop new and repeat business by providing technical and product knowledge in a timely manner.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Proactively contact decision makers to introduce and promote stock and custom technical products and solutions.
• Provide technical support, product information and solutions for PLC, HMI, AFD, Servo and Wireless applications.
• Achieve rapport with customers and strive to give them the best possible support.
• Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
• Work with Account manager to assist in meeting the needs of the customer.
• Increases sales and average order size by means of cross selling, up selling and add on material.
• Attend training on an ongoing basis to support the latest product innovations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. Education and Experience

• 2-4 years college degree or equivalent experience
• 2 or more years of Industrial Electric experience with Automation including PLC, HMI, VFD and other motion and control products

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS ( Knowledge, Skills or Abilities):

• Basic fundamental understanding of sales skills and techniques
• Great communications, relationship building, customer service, prioritization, account forecasting, negotiating, consultative selling and superior organization and time management skills.
• Ability to perform without direct supervision
