We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and a passion for building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and efficient systems.
The day in the life of a DevOps Engineer...
Collaborate with developers to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations
Write and maintain automation scripts to streamline processes
Monitor and troubleshoot production systems
Continuously improve infrastructure and processes to increase efficiency and reliability
Provide input on and execute security and deployment best practices
Facilitate collaboration between development and operations teams throughout the application lifecycle
Collaborate with Information Security team to address audit compliance while enabling a secure application environment
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, testing, and production environments.
Bring new features and services into production.
Author and review technical documentation related to processes and specifications.
Assists in the development, testing, deployment, and optimization of our eCommerce platform and integrations, utilizing industry standards and best practices
Assist in migrating TFS/Azure DevOps On premise to Cloud
Manage TFS/Azure DevOps
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required.
Experience:
4 years experience in software development, systems administration, or DevOps
3 years experience using DevOps practices developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Should have a hands-on understanding of DevOps tools and automation framework.
Administration of CI/CD tools
Involvement in an enterprise environment with one or more of the following programming languages: C#, SQL Server, JavaScript
Experience with Agile processes, testing, and code review
Practice administering web and application servers
Experience with scripting languages
Practical understanding of Application Performance Management (APM)
Applied knowledge of git best practices
Worked with DevOps principles and practices
Gitlab
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong background in software development and experience with automation and configuration management tools, containerization technologies, and cloud platforms
Strong problem-solving and communication skills and be proficient in at least one programming language.
Computer Skills: Must have a solid understanding of the following
C#/.Net Framework
Web front end experience with CSS and JavaScript
WinForms and asp.net MVC experience
SQL Server
GIT source control
Team Foundation server/Azure DevOps
