Heavy Equipment Operator (Backhoe) Water and sewer

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• The Crew Leader/Operator must ensure that jobs run efficiently and safely.
• Maintain Apex Quality standards
• Competent operation of excavation equipment to include backhoe, skid loader, etc. necessary for the completion of the assigned project
• Inspect and maintain equipment properly
• Dig trench to required depth, using equipment or by hand
• Anticipate needs of assigned jobs, including parts, supplies, timing, etc.
• Excellent communication skills with field supervisor, office staff, and customers as it relates to the completion of projects
• Return landscape back to original condition when job is completed
• Take pictures and verify cleanliness of job site when job is complete
• Responsible for complying with all state, federal, OSHA and Apex Plumbing Inc. Health and Safety Standards
• Training of crew members and provide supervision in all facets necessary for the completion of jobs: Safety, Proper excavation, Installation of materials, Training
• Other duties as assigned
