What You’ll be doing:

The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for conducting technical pre and post sales activities. Pre-sales activities will include conducting onsite and remote technical sales presentations, proof of value, competitive analysis, and defining customer requirements. This will require working collaboratively with all stakeholders to achieve customer satisfaction and increased revenue.

Responsibilities:

• Provides pre- and post-sales support for onsite and remote proof of value sessions; including configuration, training, troubleshooting and daily product use
• Performs site surveys, analyzes customer network designs, and documents requirements for APCON solutions
• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to define account strategy by highlighting APCON advantages and influencing technical decision-makers
• Provides technical responses for customer RFP/RFQ/RFIs
• Works collaboratively with Marketing to write white papers and case studies 

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 3 years’ experience as a Systems Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Field Applications Engineer or equivalent selling to Global Fortune 1000 companies
• CCNP, CCNA or equivalent network security certification preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree required (BSCS, BSEE strongly preferred; MSCS/MSEE a plus)
• Knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructures, management, monitoring and security within a data center
• Experience selling/configuring VMware solutions is preferred not required
• Experience in effectively selling/configuring Cloud infrastructure/value is preferred not required
• Knowledge of network ecosystem such as Wireshark, Fluke, Riverbed is preferred not required
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate professionally across the organization
• Excellent organizational, planning, presentation, troubleshooting, and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Travel: Frequently up to 75%
