We are seeking a full-time Project Engineer . This position will play a significant role as a team member, working with the Project Manager and Superintendent to successfully complete construction projects throughout Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana areas. Ideal candidate is a self-starter, self-motivated with strong communication, organizational, and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build client and subcontractor relationships.
• Manage project documents using Procore Construction Management Software.
• Create and maintain a Submittal, RFI, Close-Out, Meeting Minutes and other logs, as required.
• Work with Project Manager and Superintendent to create and distribute RFI's.
• Review and process submittals and compile project close-out documents.
• Change order management.
• Assist in preparation of monthly pay applications.
• Prepare quantity reports and productivity evaluations.
• Assure safety compliance and records.
• Assure Quality Control measures.
• Attend job site meetings and assist as required in preparing/distributing minutes.
• Assist in job site logistic planning.
• Update project schedules using Primavera, Microsoft Project or Suretrak.

Qualifications / Skill Set:

• Bachelor’s Degree in construction, architecture, or engineering related major. Or three to five years of relevant construction experience.
• Knowledge of the construction industry practices, procedures, and market trends.
• Dedicated, well-organized, able to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Able to work under pressure and maintain professionalism when faced with aggressive
• deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and resource management skills.
• Ability to interact, develop, and maintain a positive professional relationship with all team
• members.
• A learning leaders’ mindset; welcomes training and coaching; and assumes responsibility for their own work.
• Experience with Procore, Primavera and Microsoft Project

Travel Requirement : Position may be assigned to a field job site. We target projects within one hour of our office.
