Part-Time School Social Worker
AnthroMed Education is a locally founded, ever-growing Special Education and Related Service provider in Illinois. We are committed to providing our team members with an enriching and fulfilling school year and beyond!
We are currently hiring a Part-Time School Social Worker who wants to make an impact at a developing and team-oriented Charter School in Chicago, IL for the remainder of the school year.
Overview:
- Work 20 hours per week (days/hours are flexible)
- Provide social work services and support to K-8th grade students
- Manage a caseload of 20 or less students
- Provide advocacy, child welfare, and case management services to student
- Assess, identify and provide clinical interventions to students with emotional, social, attendance and/or behavioral concerns within the general education population
- Perform consultations with classroom teachers and be a resource for school site personnel on mental health and social/emotional issues that may affect classroom performance
- Works with parents and children in a confidential and caring manner and assists the family, school, and community in any way required to bridge gaps between family and school
- Other duties to be assigned
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Endorsement in Social Work
