AnswerLab has a fantastic opportunity for you to grow with us. The Marketing - Lead Development Specialist role is an opportunity for a resourceful, motivated, and collaborative individual who craves new challenges and thrives on working in a fast-paced and flexible environment. 

The Marketing - Lead Development Specialist is responsible for identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities in Target Accounts.

This is not a silo position! We want a collaborative individual who can contribute to the marketing and sales teams, work in a dynamic environment, deliver messaging and process feedback, and work proactively to drive overall sales performance. The Marketing - Lead Development Specialist will become a trusted resource and develop relationships with prospects and teammates. 

Job Responsibilities

The Marketing - Lead Development Specialist will manage developing leads for hand-off to the Business Development team via the key areas of responsibility listed below. 

  • Conduct research to identify prospects at Target Accounts 
  • Drive growth by moving leads down the sales funnel
  • Write engaging email and message sequences
  • Analyze campaign results to ensure effectiveness 

In addition, the Marketing - Lead Development Specialist will own the following responsibilities.

  • Identify contacts for outbound programs by researching Target Accounts
  • Perform lead outreach through email, social media, and other channels leveraging tools such as Salesforce, Salesloft, LinkedIn, cadences, etc.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development to prioritize outbound Target Account plans based on our ABM strategy (Account Based Marketing)
  • Write email and message sequences to improve lead conversion rates 
  • Analyze results of lead development campaigns and continuously iterate to increase program effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate activity and lead qualification information in our Salesforce CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform 
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, competition, and industry developments

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Outstanding candidates come from a variety of backgrounds. While specific experience is important, ultimately, we’re looking for candidates with the personal characteristics to thrive in a growing client-focused consulting organization. The ideal candidate will likely meet many or most of the criteria listed below.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant industry experience 
  • A minimum of three years of marketing and/or sales experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success in B2B prospecting
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills coupled with excellent listening skills
  • Ability to develop rapport, influence others and maintain strong working relationships
  • Experience using marketing, CRM, and project management software; preference for Salesforce, Hubspot, and/or SalesLoft experience

  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines
