Ansara Bickford and Fiske is Hiring a Director - Supply Chain (FT) Near Arbutus, MD
Allentown, PA
Base Pay: $145-160K (could consider more if VP level)
Job Overview:
- 25% travel to Springfield, MO – the biggest plant and 2 plants in Ireland
- Supply Chain Director to take the team to the next level. Will set up Supply Chain operations in new facilities, especially globally. Someone who wants to run their own show drives expansion and improvement to the supply chain team.
- The company has been growing quickly by acquiring smaller firms and plants. Need someone who will study the current supply chain, assess where they are, and decide how to improve, and prepare for the next growth stage as they set up operations in other states or countries.
- A senior leader with experience in operational, tactical, and strategic facets of a global supply chain.
- Will manage the planning and execute a global supply chain strategy – including launch into new regions/countries.
- Identify the weaknesses, and put new processes in place to effect change BUT it’s also a roll-up-the-sleeves, build, coordinate, collaborate and execute role.
- Will drive Lean and Operations Excellence throughout multiple manufacturing plants.
- The role provides oversight for supply planning of all projects, conducts ongoing evaluation of operational systems and processes to maximize effectiveness, and manages an end-to-end view of operations to help increase margins through operational excellence without compromising customer or consumer satisfaction.
- Oversee strategic planning and execution of all external product spending and develop a global sourcing strategy – including the launch of new manufacturing or distribution operations in new regions/countries.
- Will drive improvements to supply chain structure, interacting with Sales, Operations, and Engineering teams.
- Experience in made-to-order equipment or machinery assembly operations a big plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management or finance, or business.
- Proven track record of multiple plants, and global organization.
- Experience in strategic sourcing approaches.
- Developing a global sourcing strategy – including launch into new regions/countries.
- Travel estimated at 25% to support business activities of all locations.
