Angi is seeking a Business Development Associate (BDA) to join our Strategic Partnerships team. This is a crucial role that will lay a solid foundation for new business development in our vertical.

The BDA will be responsible for building, qualifying, and prospecting a pipeline of potential clients in your assigned categories. You will report to the Director, Strategic Partnerships and collaborate closely with the Strategy Sales team, especially the Business Development Category Manager, on pipeline building and prospecting strategies.

What You'll Do: 

  • Identify and research prospective Large Pro clients in the Outdoor and Everyday Services categories.
  • Craft engaging messaging that connects Angi to Large Pros businesses.
  • Work to make contact with prospects. This involves persistent cold calling, emailing, social media outreach, and other methods the BDA may test and find to be successful.
  • Once a connection is made, qualify the opportunity for Angi and gather information on prospect’s business and needs.
  • Educate prospects on Angi product and service offerings and propose a mutually beneficial arrangement when possible.
  • Set appointments between qualified, interested prospects and the Business Development Manager.

What We're Looking For:  

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Background check required
  • Comfort with high volume of inbound calls each day
  • Confidence, persistence, and a relentless work ethic.
  • A self-starter and true “hunter” mentality that takes ownership with minimal direction.
  • Business acumen, preferably in the home services space, and/or a thirst for knowledge and drive to learn deeply about our partners’ industries and businesses.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to overcome roadblocks with creative solutions.
  • Ability to think on your feet and pivot quickly. Ability to have tough conversations, handle objections and utilize strong problem-solving skills. The position requires that you are able to work in an environment that is unpredictable and fast paced.
  • A growth mindset- you crave coaching and feedback and are able to implement as necessary
  • Strong computer skills required, particularly with internet and applications – ie. Gmail, CRM’s, Google Suite
  • Hear and talk on a phone head set for up to 8 hours per day
  • Hardline and high-speed internet connection
  • 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced, client-facing sales, service, or marketing role preferred.

  • $45,000.00/yr Commission (OTE: $75K/yr)
