This person will be responsible for leading HR best practices. You will work with a small flexible HR team that believes in doing what’s right for employees versus what is strictly compliant. The team environment is fun, lighthearted, and hard-working. Work will be a combination of remote and in-person work. Someone who has a sense of humor, is self-motivation, with good judgment, and high emotional intelligence, will be the best fit for this role. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain employee data in our HRIS systems (ADP WorkforceNow & Trakstar) 
• Produce compliance reporting, including but not limited to: EEOC, OSHA, and 401k 
• Manage benefits and open enrollment
• Manage family leave (FMLA) compliance for employees in varying states
• Develop and maintain relationships across the organization to positively influence culture
• Create and maintain job descriptions for all positions
• Conducting exit interviews
• Provide legal guidance, and interpret policies and practices
• Assist in onboarding of new employees
• Assist in immigration processing
• Ad Hoc duties and responsibilities as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field – HR preferred
• 3 years of human resources experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
• Up to 20% travel may be required between locations
• Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Certification in PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP is preferred
• International compliance experience is a bonus
• Experience creating annual compliance reports 
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and current HR practices
• Assist with PEO management and insurance audits
• Knowledge of Non-disclosure and Proprietary Information and Invention Agreements
• Experience managing annual health care renewal negotiations and open enrollment period
• Maintains employee benefits
• Able to maintain and update terminations and performance evaluations
• Collaborate with leadership to plan and carry out employee engagement activities
