Our clinic is hiring a Veterinary Assistant to collaborate with the veterinarian and staff by providing support in the form of activities like cleaning and kennel maintenance, retail price checking, maintaining office records and other administrative duties. As a Veterinary Assistant, you should have a high degree of motivation, compassion and empathy. You will also have to comply with regulatory standards as well as our company’s policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare animal hospital for regular and emergency business hours, by arranging instruments and equipment, cleaning rooms and assisting veterinarians, such as feeding animals and monitoring their progress.
• Facilitate animals to the surgery room, by directing, lifting and carrying.
• Clean animal hospital rooms, by wiping floors and disinfecting instruments, as well as washing windows, walls and furniture.
• Prepare medical supplies, such as sterilizing equipment after use and preparing medical prescriptions for veterinarians.
• Record daily patient data in clinic logs.
• Calibrate equipment according to veterinarians’ orders.
• Create detailed daily reports of operations performed.
• Monitor animals’ conditions before, during and after surgery.
• Document animals’ health and administer treatments according to veterinarians’ prescriptions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinic rooms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
