Anderson Dahlen Inc is Hiring a Technical Sales Near Ramsey, MN

Description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

The Technical Sales role will be responsible for providing a wide variety of sales and administrative duties in a manner which consistently provides effective assistance and support to customers. This role is responsible for partnering with internal resources to maintain and improve existing accounts, as well as develop and grow new accounts. 

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Manage customers in assigned region and business segment(s).
  • Primarily service WI, IL, IN, MI, OH, KY 
  • Work closely with other Gray companies to support opportunities.
  • Engage all active A B accounts as assigned.
  • Support meeting revenue goals
  • Visit and engage accounts to develop contacts and better understanding of short long term potential.
  • Assist with account ranking and forecasts.
  • Attend Sales team L10 and complete all Rocks and to-dos as required.
  • Coordinate effectively with Sales Applications Engineering Estimating teams to meet opportunity, quote order goals.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new accounts & management of existing accounts (as assigned).
  • Assist marketing efforts (technical input, project examples, events). 
  • Attend various sales/product training to better support customers & outside sales efforts.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or at least 2 years of post-high school technical training in manufacturing engineering, mechanical design technology or a related area.
  • At least 5 years in sales related area; combined manufacturing/process engineering preferred or 8 years equivalent in a shop environment.
  • Demonstrated examples of initiative and aggressiveness in completing projects.
  • Knowledge of the Company's product line gained through experience with Anderson Dahlen Inc. or a related business.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of their time
  • Very strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Exhibits strong leadership and sound decision-making qualities.
  • Computer literacy a must. 
  • Geometric tolerancing and understanding of flat layouts.
  • Ability to develop accurate bill of material for raw, purchase, sub-contract components for the project.
  • Blueprint reading skills a must.
  • Ability to quote and configure projects in excess of $150,000.
  • Ability to work from sketches to understand, fit, form and function of customer requirements. 
  • Ability to structure highly complex products using ADI quoting modules.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of Company personnel and others.
  • Primary customer contact to meet customer delivery schedules and performance needs.
  • Ability to relate well to others and gain the respect of employees
