SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Full-Time

Anders CPAs Advisors is looking to add a Senior Accountant to assist our Finance Department in St. Louis, MO. This position is responsible for assisting in the Anders monthly financial close, financial analysis and expense reporting. This position provides back up to the Controller for payroll processing and helping with internal and external reports and special projects as assigned. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller.

Position Responsibilities

• Full cycle accounting includes accounts receivable, accounts payable, expense reporting, product invoicing, general ledger and financial statement preparation
• Anders automated expense reporting management system and processes.
• Assist Controller with all aspects of the Anders monthly and year-end financial close
• Prepares 1099’s, Business License, Sales & Use Tax and Personal Property Tax renewals for all Anders related companies
• Back up for payroll and 401k submission for all related companies
• Assists Controller and Finance Manager in financial analysis, budgeting, and monthly forecasting
• Assist Controller in Fixed Asset Management

Qualifications

Qualifications and Competencies

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong client service skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management
• Strong organization skills
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to exercise discretion and strong judgment when handling confidential information

Education and Experience

• Bachelor or Associates degree in accounting or similar major preferred
• 5 years experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper
• 3 years’ budgeting/forecasting/financial analysis experience
• Ability to exercise discretion and strong judgment when handling confidential information
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong experience and working knowledge with an accounting software package such as QuickBooks, Sage or NetSuite. QuickBooks a plus
• Experience with web-based software tools (i.e. on-line expense reporting)
• Experience with time and billing software. Working knowledge of CCH Practice Management would be a plus
