Managed Services Systems Engineer
Location: Onsite Work in Hartford, CT area - Remote Otherwise

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Systems Engineer will support the technology environment for select clients as assigned, both onsite and remote. This advanced role is instrumental, as the Systems Engineer services as a subject matter expert on the client’s environment as well as an escalation point for team members. The Systems Engineer is responsible for insuring high systems availability, performance, and security. This position is fast-paced and requires the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a HIPAA-compliant, healthcare setting.

The Systems Engineer will be involved in the advanced technical support of IT infrastructure at diverse facilities, interacting with clients, and representing Anatomy_IT. This is an interactive role with unique network technology offerings in a hands-on environment while working face-to-face with our clients through issues that arise. This is a great opportunity to play a foundational role within the team; self-motivation, out-of-the-box thinking, and great communication skills are paramount for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide advanced remote and on-site support to our clients
  • Proactively anticipate, preempt, diagnose, and solve hardware, server and software problems
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of customer’s specific business environments
  • Maintain client level infrastructure (Exchange, Active Directory and Network)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Not only do you determine how a solution should work, but you also understand how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will improve the outcome. We are looking to you to identify solution performance indicators that will provide a positive impact on the solution. You will work in a diverse environment and should also have:

  • 3 years of hands-on experience with network appliances, maintenance, and support
  • BA in Computer Science or similar degree, and/or commensurate work experience.
  • Passion for great customer service
  • Long standing curiosity and love of technology
  • Excellent phone, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to work on tasks and projects with little or no supervision
  • Handle client technology needs with discretion and autonomy
  • High quality, detail-oriented approach to work
  • Well-developed organizational skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Interest in building a long-term career position
  • Adaptability to a rapidly changing environment, shift priorities, and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule
  • MCSE, CISSP, A , or similar IT certification or working toward it
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals
  • Broad knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange
  • Broad knowledge of Windows Desktop OS & MS Office Suites
  • Experience with network security, anti-virus, VPN, and firewalls
  • Physical server hardware implementation/support and data center experience
  • Azure cloud server support, maintenance, and deployment
  • Previous experience with supporting multi-tenant infrastructure
  • Strong skillset in managing Hyper-V and VMWare hosted systems
  • Knowledge of Intune, and/or other MDM platforms
